When Mum says 'go and play' in that voice, it usually means that she and Dad are going to have a talk together, so Arthur takes the chocolate biscuit he's been handed and heads straight for his room.He especially likes to play Adventurers this week, and he has a special tent for adventuring in, right in his room, made of sheets and two clothes driers that Mum wasn't using. Inside he's got pillows from his bed for sitting on, and his colouring book and pencil-crayons so he can draw all the animals he sees with his special bi-noc-le-ars which he made himself (with Mum's help) out of two loo rolls and some sellytape.
When he crawls into the tent it seems to just keep going for some reason, and clutching his biscuit all the while, he eventually crawls until he ends up somewhere he's never been before.
He stands up, brushes off his knees (carefully, so he doesn't drop his biscuit, it's chocolate after all) and looks around himself.
WOW.
"Where am I?" He asks, breathless with amazement.
[Arthur is 6 years old and brighter than he looks, although honestly that's not exactly saying an awful lot.]
